It’s a new era
Welcome the new energy
Now it is time for everyone to meditate.
Go within, find your center, discover what needs to be released, and let go.
Transmute old wounds into new growth.
Heal your body through deep breathing techniques.
Balance your life by welcoming what is waiting for you.
Thinking, praying, day dreaming
Meditation can be all of the above. It is all that you believe it will be and can be much more. The outcome is all in the intention, holding a specific objective or going in without expectation. It is not supposed to be work but it definitely is a progression.
Five or ten minutes a day of meditation can lead you to more.
Some believe meditation is clearing your mind of thought. This may be true, but it is not immediate. In today’s world, many people live in fight or flight mode; it may take the first few minutes of meditation time to sort your thoughts. Your meditation time may be the only point during an entire day when you slow down, so it is only natural for your mind to hold thoughts in front of you that need some attention.
The first few moments of meditation are your time to breathe well, remember your intention (if you selected one,) and set mental reminders to revisit unwanted recurring thoughts after the session.
By the third deep breath, your body’s oxygen intake will change, increasing the chance for more positive thoughts, sending signals to your muscles to relax, signaling your heart to open up.
If you do not feel this happening, you can assist the process by holding a breath in for as long as is comfortable, without strain or muscle contraction, then releasing it until you feel that every last particle of air has left your body. Repeat the deep breath in, and hold, then release all.
Repeat until you feel yourself falling back into yourself.
Light meditation and deep meditation
Either can happen, and, for the most part, neither can be planned. If you are new to meditation or have tried but a meditative state seems elusive, you may already been participating but just don’t know it.
You may have heard that it is all in the allowing. Allowing your daily tasks and worries to recede. Allowing your inner self to show you your peace, to open a path within. Allowing yourself time for self love.
Deep, relaxing breathing while falling back into yourself is the best way to describe the physical process. Watching what you may see behind your eyelids can assist, but not everyone sees shapes or colors with eyes closed. Fear or trepidation can hinder your progress. These factors contribute to failure for some, so they simply give up trying.
But now is the time for everyone to add meditation to their daily routine, whether it is purely for moments or for hours. This new era holds wonderful things for everyone who seeks a happier and calmer life.
Fear or trepidation may be present because the practice is unknown to you. After two or three (short or long) sessions, it will become easier to fall back within, and you will notice a faster process, creating an easy personal ritual for yourself.
Whether you are seeking calm in the midst of the new era tumult, physical healing, healing of new or old wounds, manifesting a better life, or journeying to other worlds, it is always best to begin in a soft, quiet place with nice scents in the air around you.
Calm will happen if you measure your breathing and guide your body to relax. You may even fall asleep, in which case, try to recall your dreams as they may assist you in solving events in your life. If you have shied away from meditation because you easily fall asleep, say aloud, when you first settle yourself, “I request to remember my dreams,” then be certain to journal what you do recall immediately upon awakening. Calming yourself for even just 15 minutes a day has health benefits.
Five minutes of meditation will lead you to more and can lead you to a connection within of ease, growth, and comfort.
Benefits of Meditation
This could be the longest list of beneficial outcomes! It would spread out so long as to be boring, so let’s pare it down to the most helpful outcomes: calming, healing, manifesting, daydreaming, journeying, discovery. (Finding your inner self.)
Your body holds all of the stresses of your life, some of past lives or ancestral weights. When you are in meditation, your body gets a respite from any added weight plus time to rejuvenate your cells.
When your breathing is slow and even, your systems are able to connect also. Your mind’s worries are much less, even if only for those few minutes, but it can be enough to help your entire body to begin to rejuvenate and release toxins.
Not only your body is in a healing mode during meditation. Your mind, body, and soul are working together, sending messages back and forth, sorting, placing, replacing, settling, and setting up things that you may want to discover, heal, change, or simply things that remind you to be grateful.
Your meditation can be a refuge, a manifesting exercise, a healing journey, or a journey to places not of earth. Mostly it is a space for self-discovery.
After a Meditation Session
Drink plenty of water for the first hour following a meditation session. This allows your body to carry on with releasing all that you no longer need and continue the flow of energy you created.
