As a student of life on a journey, a path of enlightenment and growth, my PhD is in living gratefully. It’s not academic, no, but it is well-earned, experientially, from an age-old university: Test of Time. In reality, I have a high school diploma, trade school diplomas, writer’s awards, a stack of computer training and sales certificates, but no college degree by society’s standards.

 

I have a voracious appetite to learn anything and everything about the nature of living on earth. Living among humans who are living within Mother Earth’s beautiful nature and Her natural laws, within universal laws. I am on my journey, my path of enlightenment, enrichment, and growth. As a noeticist, esoteric knowledge is my passion, and I’m fascinated by ancient civilizations.

 

Many others can give you neurobiological facts or how atoms and protons work, but I know from my own experiences and research. There is no hidden agenda—I only want every one to be happy.

 

So far, I have lived 63 years and carry a lot of accumulated knowledge. Some of which is written down, most of which enriches my life and that of those around me.

 

Spiritually, I was coached to be a Christian by my parents. My father studied the metaphysical ,and both my parents shared many of the same beliefs. They stressed that we should seek and find our own path, and I have by studying all religions and following the sciences.

 

My paternal grandmother always had a sign in her window: Card Reader. She used a regular deck of cards or tea leaves. Grampa passed years before I was born, when my dad was a teenager, and Grandma introduced him to me after she passed. He assists me with readings, directing me to open up more and learn, learn, learn.

 

My dad’s passing opened up my belief to an absolute knowing that there is much more to life than our earthly existence. As his spirit left him, I felt a whoosh hit my upper body and slide around me, flowing across my skin.

 

The morning after he passed, as I spoke to my oldest brother on the phone, an orange light in my mother’s china cabinet flickered then glowed brightly.

 

“Remember the old battery-operated Christmas candles that Mom used years ago?” I asked. “Well, one of them just lit itself.”

 

We both said, “Hi, Dad,” just knowing it had to be him. Within a moment or two, it flickered out, but later investigation showed the batteries tested low. It would not relight until I replaced the batteries. A strange and wonderful happening for us!

 

A few months later, Dad connected with me through an evidentiary medium. With the things she conveyed, I knew it definitely was my father. He let her know that he was very proud of himself to be the first in his family to come back immediately and let us know he was okay in such a bright way.

 

This was only the beginning of a wonderful journey to spiritual enlightenment. I continue each day, always happy to open my mind and heart further.

 

As a child, I hid my psychic abilities. I could discern people’s moods, worry, or pain, as animals do. Sometimes, I knew what was about to happen, then I’d be frightened when it actually did. I could hear my name being called when I was alone. This was disconcerting to me and to my mother, especially when she explained schizophrenia. That scared me—until I decided it must be God or Jesus talking to me. More comforting because it was accepted by many people.

 

Thankfully, I’m not schizophrenic, but, throughout my life, I hid all of these gifts, just as many people with a similar story have done, because society wasn’t ready for us yet. I wasn’t ready to face others’ ridicule—or worse, fear. And I did not possess a clear understanding of what was happening.

 

As an adult, I am finally ready to be open with my abilities. To come out of the psychic closet, as it were.

Third grade was the first time I remember hearing the word Shaman. It tripped something in me, and I was immediately intrigued. But it seemed absurd that a girl of European descent could experience memories of shamanism. I was told one had to be born into it, an Aboriginal or tribal descendant. Heartbroken, I shooed those thoughts away. Later I learned one could become a shaman by being accepted into certain local tribes or living in a Peruvian village, not for someone whose life was scripted by modern society.

 

For most of my adult years, I stayed on what I thought was my predetermined path. Just recently I discovered many shamans were opening up their training to all. I am so grateful to Puma Freddy Quispe Singona for his accessible classes. There is a network of many others doing the same. Thanks to online learning, anyone who has been called to this path can learn shamanism!

 

Working with energies that I have known my entire life was a breeze. The training filled in many gaps and blended my rituals, bringing the fluency I sought. A flow filled my life. Gratitude overcame all issues.

 

These rituals and protocols opened wider the channel to my Celestial guides, and I welcomed them! More diligently, I began to learn and practice, though it took some time to sort and understand what was coming through.

 

Ultimately, what I’ve discovered is that my soul’s mission is to help people, now, at this time. To give assistance to those who are seeking to discover their own soul’s mission.
